Stork Helpers Named Best Doulas in Cincinnati

Cincinnati, Ohio: Stork Helpers LLC received the Best Doulas of Cincinnati award from Expertise.com for 2021. Stork Helpers is offera birth doula services in addition to childbirth classes to families around Cincinnati, Dayton and Northern Kentucky, and recently added placenta encapsulation to their services this year.
After being founded in 2018 Stork Helpers saw explosive growth this past year - due in part to Tamara’s increased presence in the birth community as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.
When asked specifically about COVID, Tamara said “families really struggled this past year when it comes to having their birth story and many felt like it had been ripped away from them. Mom’s who had to birth alone because dad had COVID, dads who couldn’t be a part of ultrasounds, visitors not being allowed in, birth photographers shut out, mom’s laboring while wearing a mask and even doula’s being shut out. I had many families where I had to support them virtually which is not nearly as helpful to a laboring mom. I also saw a large number of women who were empowered and took matters into their own hands and decided to have a home birth. Midwives across the area really stepped up into allowing women to have choices again. No one should be allowed to tell you how to birth.”
