Cincinnati & Dayton Birth Doula Availability

Supporting over 400 families and counting with personalized, evidence-based birth care across the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton area.

Birth Doula Availability & Booking

How Our Calendar Works Our availability changes rapidly as families across Cincinnati and Dayton join our community. To ensure every family receives the high level of personalized, 24/7 care we promise, we strictly limit the number of birth clients we accept each month.

When Should You Reach Out? The “right” time is whenever you feel ready.

  • Many families call us the moment they see a positive pregnancy test.

  • Others prefer to wait until the second trimester.

  • We’ve even had families reach out prior to conception or as late as 38 weeks!

When you choose your birth team is completely up to you. We will never pressure you into a decision; we just want you to be aware that spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ready to Chat? We recommend reaching out whenever you feel comfortable. It’s your journey and your moment. When you’re ready, we’ll be here to grab a Starbucks and talk about all things birth!

Tamara Kankowski had birth doula availability to serve as a birth doula during a home birth as the baby is being delivered.

Find a Time That Works for You

My first delivery was a traumatic vaginal birth resulting in a third degree laceration, an episiotomy, and a 2 1/2 minute shoulder dystocia. My second child was a cesarean due to the severity of the tear and them being close together. A decade later and we decided to have another child. Even with being a labor and delivery nurse, I knew I wanted someone else in the room the entire time to advocate for me and to keep me from overthinking because I know too much. Tamara was an amazing support when I would start to get into my head along with just being there as my support. The birth of my third child was such a redemptive VBAC! I would recommend a doula (especially Tamara) be in your corner for birth and Tamara is extremely affordable and amazing!

Tamara was such an asset to my pregnancy and birth. She identified a risk factor for low hemoglobin when my OB didnt and encouraged me to take extra iron. When I had a major hemorrhage, this very well could have prevented a bad outcome. She also went above and beyond and stayed with my husband for support through the afterbirth until we were transferred to postpartum- from 1 to 5am. To top it off, she brought a home cooked meal at our postpartum visit. We are so glad we chose Stork Helpers.
